Ashland junior Megan Hensley no-hit Portsmouth West on Saturday, one day after dealing a perfect game, as the Kittens beat the Lady Senators 16-0 in five innings at the Valley of Thunder at Symmes Valley.
Hensley had 13 strikeouts and issued two walks for Ashland (13-2), which got back in the win column after seeing its 11-game winning streak snapped in its first game Saturday.
Hensley was 3-for-3 with two runs, five RBIs, a homer and a double. Megan Griffith homered and drove in four runs, and Sidney Campbell was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
The no-hitter is Hensley’s third of the season.

WILLOW WOOD, Ohio In Saturday’s first game, the Kittens surrendered 12 unearned runs to lose by double digits for the first time since the 2010 state tournament.
Gahanna Lincoln piled up nine runs in the fourth inning to break open what was a 1-0 game.

LLOYD The Musketeers have won three straight games for the first time this season after run-ruling the Pirates on Saturday in the People’s Bank Classic.
J.T. Boggs drove in four runs, J.B. Brown had two hits and two RBIs, Gage Hughes rapped three base hits and Korey Morris had two knocks.
The Musketeers (8-11) took their second game in three tries this season from the two-time defending Ohio Division III state champions. Greenup County and Wheelersburg split a doubleheader a week ago.

LLOYD The Red Devils got back on the winning track on Saturday afternoon in the People’s Bank Classic.
Sophomore Matthew Strother, making his first varsity start, three-hit the Fighting Tigers, issuing four walks and striking out three. He was also 2-for-3 and doubled at the dish for the Red Devils (8-9).
Bobby May was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

RACELAND Kymbria Williams homered twice and Lacee Penix singled home Leigh Grubb for a walk-off win in the eighth inning to cap the Lady Rams’ sweep of a Friday doubleheader.
Raceland trailed 7-4 entering the bottom of the seventh to jeopardize its seven-game winning streak, but rallied with three runs, including Madison Johnson’s game-tying two-RBI double.
Penix then won it with two outs in the eighth.
Williams went 3-for-4 with four runs batted in, on a three-run long ball in the first inning and a solo shot in the sixth that carried beyond the fence at Raceland’s complex to U.S. 23.
Johnson went 2-for-3. Seventh-grader Rylee Austin earned her first varsity win in relief.
The Lady Rams improved to 13-3.

RACELAND In Friday’s first game, Kymbria Williams went 2-for-4 with two RBI and Savannah Mackie was 2-for-3 to back Kelsey Diller, who fanned seven Lady Hornets in a complete-game effort.
Diller also drove in two runs on a double as the Lady Rams rallied from a 2-0 hole with seven runs in their fifth and sixth innings.

RACELAND The Rams pulled out an eight-inning victory on Nathaniel Davidson’s RBI single to plate Kyle Moore.
Trey Mills reached base three times for Raceland (12-6), singling twice and scoring twice, including the game-tying run on a passed ball with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.
Alex Risner pitched a scoreless inning of relief to get the win.
The Hawks (7-9) led 3-0 through the visitors’ half of the second inning, but Raceland plated five runs in the home half, scoring twice on an error and on Risner’s two-run single. Mills added an RBI single in the fourth.

PIKEVILLE Tigers pitcher Taylor Miller two-hit the Bearcats in a route-going performance at the Pikeville Panther Classic on Friday.
Miller walked four and struck out six, including the side in the seventh inning.
Lane Daniels went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a double and a triple for Paintsville (13-3), which won its seventh straight game. Ben Daniels was 2-for-4. Andrew Rice drove in a run.
Kentucky Country Day dropped to 5-8.
