With the top three team all in lopsided wins last Friday, this week’s version of The Independent’s Super 7 high school football rankings stays the same.
The No. 1 through No. 3 teams — Johnson Central, Raceland and Ashland — were never challenged in combining to beat their opponents 140-13.
Central beat Paintsville 65-7, Ashland shut out Boyd County 35-0 and Raceland beat Greenup County 40-6.
Central’s off this week while the Tomcats will play Woodford County in a Saturday game at home. The Rams host Paris.
Russell scored two late touchdowns in its 41-20 victory over Lawrence County to hold down the No. 4 spot.
No. 5 Fairview picked up another blowout win, 55-6, against Morgan County.
Boyd County and Paintsville round out the Super 7.
