Lady Lions down Russell for first time in 8 years
Staff report
CANNONSBURG —
Boyd County downed Russell 14-8 Thursday evening, giving the Lady Lions their first win over the Lady Devils in eight years.

Russell put three runs on the board to start the game but Boyd County fired back with three of its own. The Lady Lions rallied for five runs in the second, held off all other Russell charges and added a four-run fourth for insurance.
