The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
‰A woman on Monday reported her previous tenants stole and pawned items belonging to her while staying at her rental property in the 800 block of 29th Street. Those items included two handguns, two window air conditioners, a ladder, a wood-burning stove and roofing material.
‰Wagner Rental Supply, 906 Greenup Ave., on Monday reported a woman had rented items worth a total of $2,079 with cold checks and had not returned any of them.
‰A woman on Friday reported various cassette tapes were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 3200 block of Winchester Avenue.
‰A resident of the 300 block of Blackburn Avenue on Friday reported the theft of an 18-foot car hauler from his property.
‰A man living in the 2500 block of Holt Street on Saturday reported the theft of a check from his mailbox.
‰A woman on Sunday reported someone broke into her residence in the 400 block of 30th Street and stole a rented laptop computer valued at $430.
‰Police on Friday arrested Jeremy E. Griffith, 35, of Ashland, on a felony drug possession charge after he was found under the influence in a vehicle on Putnam Street.
‰A 46-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge Monday night for allegedly punching his wife in the chest during a domestic dispute in the 3200 block of Winchester Avenue. The man also was charged with resisting arrest.
‰Police on Saturday arrested a 25-year-old resident of the Transitions Inc. halfway house on 29th Street on a misdemeanor assault charge after he was involved in a fight there.
‰A 29-year-old Sciotoville, Ohio, woman was arrested Friday for allegedly trying to steal items valued at $102 from Belk. The woman also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
‰An 18-year-old Wurtland man was arrested Sunday at Walmart for allegedly trying to shoplift merchandise valued at $3.98.
‰Two juveniles were arrested Sunday at J.C. Penney for allegedly trying to take items valued at $155.82.
