Computers, tools, jewelry reported stolen to APD

ASHLAND —  The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:


A woman living in the 1700 block of Donna Court reported on Monday her home was entered by an unknown person and $30 in cash and a 14k gold diamond ring valued at $500 was stolen.

A man reported Monday tools, including two Hitachi nail guns and a 25-inch compressor, were stolen overnight Sunday from his unlocked rental home in the 1600 block of Beech Street.

According to police, the Ashland Pediatrics Association Building, located at 332 23rd Street, was broken into on Sunday and five laptop computers and four desktop monitors, an industrial vacuum cleaner and other miscellaneous hand tools were stolen. Items taken totaled $6,800.


An Ashland woman was arrested Wednesday for stealing $46.97 in merchandise from Walmart.

An Ashland man was arrested Friday for stealing $137.57 in merchandise. He was also arrested on a warrant for contempt of court.

Walmart reported the theft of $456 in merchandise on Friday, two men were listed as suspects but were not arrested.

A man reported the theft of a stove and a window air conditioning unit from his rental property located in the 4000 block of Southview Road.

Police arrested Laurel A. Henson, of Gallipolis, Ohio, for stealing $632.14 in merchandise on Saturday from Walmart. Henson was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony.

Two Ironton men were arrested Sunday for attempting to steal $228 in merchandise from Walmart.

An Ashland woman reported $70 in cash was stolen from her unlocked vehicle on Saturday while it was parked on Carter Avenue.

An Ashland woman reported her car, a gray four- door Honda Accord, was stolen on Saturday from Providence Hill. The car is valued at $12,500.
