Boyd offices get clean audit
FRANKFORT - Boyd County Sheriff Terry Keelin and Boyd County Clerk Debbie Jones both received clean audits from State Auditor Adam Edelen.
State law requires the auditor to annually audit the accounts of each county sheriff and county clerk.
The auditor noted no instances of noncompliance in either office.
Flood study topic of Carter meeting
OLIVE HILL - A public meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Olive Hill Senior Center will provide information about the Tygart’s Creek Watershed Flood Study and Mitigation Evaluation Draft Report Review.
Residents may comment on such issues as flooding, alternatives to the project or other pertinent issues.
Blazer ’93 class to have reunion
ASHLAND - The Paul G. Blazer High School Class of 1993 will have its 20-year class reunion Friday through Sunday.
A casual-dress mixer will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Callihan’s in the Kyova Mall. A buffet-style dinner will be from 7:30 from 11:30 p.m. Saturday at The Railroad Depot at 99 15th St. The event will be cocktail attire with dancing and a cash bar.
There will be a family picnic from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the high school, under Building 1. Food will be provided by Giovanni’s Pizza. Attendees should bring their own nonalcoholic drinks.
Classmates will have access to the campus to tour at their leisure.

St. Mary’s-Ironton celebration set
IRONTON - St. Mary’s Medical Center will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the opening of its Ironton campus with a community event Saturday.
It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton at 1408 Campbell Drive. Free refreshments, including hot dogs, cupcakes and yogurt provided by Tropical Moon, will be part of the celebration, as well as children’s inflatables. Free health screenings will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Air Evac Lifeteam will officially open its new helicopter hangar on the Ironton campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Air Evac will also have a helicopter demonstration at 1 p.m.
