Night planned


The Greenup County Public Library will host Child Safety Night at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Western Southern Insurance will offer child ID kits and local police, fire and rail safety departments will distribute information.

Hospice style show April 5


Community Hospice’s annual Spring Style Show and Luncheon will be at noon April 5 at Bellefonte Country Club.

Dinner, movie planned at library


The Flatwoods branch of the Greenup County Public Library will have dinner and a movie at 6 p.m. March 21.

The movie will be “Saving Mr. Banks.” The event is free, but signup is required.

A children’s program will be offered with a showing of “Mary Poppins.”

Hospice of Huntington will host twice a month a caregivers’ support group, professionally facilitated meetings that allow those caring for a loved one to find support from other caregivers. 

The free sessions will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday and at 6 p.m. March 27 at the offices at 1101 Sixth Ave. Registration is required.

Arts group to jury new members


Jurying for membership in the Tri State Arts Association will be March 22  at the Pendleton Art Center, 1537 Winchester Ave.

Interested artists are asked to bring five pieces of their best work in any one medium, framed and ready to hang, to the Pendleton at 9 a.m. that day. Jury fee is $5.

‘Ag Tag’ donations are sought


The Kentucky 4-H Foundation is asking “Ag Tag” owners across the commonwealth to make a donation of $10 through farm license plate renewal to support programs that create future community leaders.

The program evenly distributes the donations among 4-H, Future Farmers of America and the Kentucky Proud program.
