Man charged with stealing generator

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰A 52-year-old Ashland man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing a generator valued at $299.99 from Kroger.

‰A resident of Bruce Apartments on Wednesday reported someone took her cell phone after she accidentally left it outside of her apartment.

Identity theft

‰A resident of the 1100 block of Walnut Avenue on Wednesday reported someone had used his personal information to file a claim for unemployment insurance without his authorization.

Shoplifting

‰A 26-year-old Ironton man was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $27.98 from Kroger.

‰Kroger on Thursday reported someone had stolen a dozen roses and a package of ball-point pens.
