No bloodmobile in Ashland today
ASHLAND - The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will not be making its regular monthly visit to the Ashland Central Fire Station today.
The visit has been canceled because the bloodmobile’s collection staff is undergoing training on a new reporting system. The Central Fire Station blood drive for today will not be rescheduled, but the bloodmobile will again be at the fire station from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7.
“We appreciate the blood donors who support our blood drives in this area. Unfortunately, canceling the May 3 drive was unavoidable,” said Vicki James, executive director of the Red Cross’ Northeast Kentucky Chapter. “The staff training will give the Red Cross updated technology to better serve our donors and partners. I hope those donors affected will come to the next drive at the Central Fire Station.”
