ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Leaving scene

‰A 50-year-old Ashland woman was arrested on several traffic charges Wednesday after she allegedly ran her vehicle into the yard of a house in the 900 block of Ashland Avenue.

Witnesses told police the woman drove into the yard at a high rate of speed, nearly flipping her vehicle, and struck the mailbox and several trash cans.

The woman was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, failure to notify the Transportation Cabinet about an address change and no insurance. She was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center, where she remained on Thursday.

Criminal mischief

‰Four women on Wednesday reported their vehicles were vandalized with a sharp object while parked in the 2200 block of Central Avenue.

Burglary

‰A man on Wednesday reported someone entered his room at the Bluegrass Inn and stole his laptop computer.

Mail theft

‰A man living in the 900 block of 29th Street on Wednesday reported the theft of a package from Time Warner cable containing a modem.

Shoplifting

‰A 32-year-old Ashland man was arrested Wednesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $232.10.
