According to a news release from Boyd Commonwealth’s Attorney David Justice’s office, the following defendants were named in indictments returned Monday by a Boyd County grand jury:
‰Fred Fraley Jr., 39, of Ashland, charged with theft of services.
‰Steven D. Downs, 27, no address listed, charged with second-degree escape.
‰Gideon M. Thompson, 28, of Ashland, charged with two counts of receiving stolen property.
‰Kristy A. Vanhoose, 36, of Kenova, charged with theft by deception.
‰John Barnett, 45, of Jackson, charged with three counts of theft by deception.
‰James J. Hill, 70, of Ashland, charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
‰Christopher Kelley, 21, of Ashland, charged with criminal mischief.
A grand jury indictment is a formal accusation of a crime and does not establish guilt.
