Thefts, assaults reported to APD

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰Second Hand Rose Furniture in the 3200 block of 13th Street reported the theft of a compact disc and an audiobook. Store workers told police they saw the man leave the store and remove the items from his pants leg outside. Police arrested a Rush man and charged him with theft.

‰The Family Dollar store in the 1300 block of Blackburn Avenue reported the theft of merchandise worth $190. Police have three suspects.

‰A resident of the 1800 block of Winchester Avenue reported the theft of a fiber optic lamp from her apartment. She told police the lamp is worth $500. The police report did not list any suspects.

Assault

‰A youth told police a man cut him with an unknown object while he was walking through an alley. Police did not identify the youth, who is younger than 18, or a suspect.

Endangering

a minor

‰Police arrested an Ashland woman they said had crossed Blackburn Avenue in moving traffic while holding her grandson. The report said the woman was nearly hit by cars during the crossing.

Drug trafficking

‰Police arrested an Ashland man on drug charges after a traffic violation. Police found heroin and cash in the car of a man stopped for the violation and the man told police he was delivering the drugs to another man. Police got a search warrant for the other man’s house and found a substantial amount of heroin there.
