Rudyfest to bring bluegrass June 25 through 28 to Carter County

GRAYSON — The 14th annual Rudyfest Bluegrass Music Festival will be June 25 through 28 at Carter County Fairgrounds on U.S. 60.

Hosted my The Lonesome River Band, the event will feature the Del McCoury Band, Rhonda Vincent and The Rage and Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out, among other bluegrass favorites.

The schedule is:

June 25

4 p.m. — Pactolus Pony Riders.

5:30 p.m. — Mountain View.

7 p.m. — Billie Renee and Cumberland Gap.

8:30 p.m. — Marty Raybon and Full Circle.

10 p.m. — Adkins and Loudermilk.

June 26

2:30 p.m. — Nightflyer.

4 p.m. — Turning Ground.

5:30 p.m. — The Grass Cats.

7 p.m. — Joe Mullins and The Radio Ramblers.

8:30 p.m. — Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice.

10 p.m. — Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time.

June 27

Noon — Hammertowne.

     One minor injury was reported after a passenger car collided with an ambulance at the intersection in front of the Paramount Arts Center on Winchester Avenue around 10 a.m. Tuesday. Independent videographer Adam Black witnessed the accident and reported the ambulance was traveling south of Winchester with lights on and siren activated when it was struck in the rear quarter panel by a passenger vehicle that had a green light for the intersection and failed to yield for the emergency vehicle.
