Some of the nation’s top speakers on leadership, including best-selling author John C. Maxwell, Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, will be part of a simulcast program called Leadercast on Friday.
Area business leaders and anyone else can tap into the simulcast at Bridges Christian Church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are four sessions, with a 75-minute lunch break.
Kevin Fraley, the sports and outreach pastor at Bridges, learned of the program while viewing WinShape Camp information. He saw it as the perfect opportunity for leadership training.
“It’s grown to become the single largest one-day leadership training out there,” he said. “It’s worldwide with something like 140,000 attendng the simulcasts each year.
“Anybody that is in any kind of leadership capacity, be it business leaders, community leaders or church leaders, can build some value behind it.”
Not only that, but the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing offers 5.25 continuing education credits for attending.
Here are some other leaders scheduled to speak during the sessions:
‰Jack Webb, former chairman and CEO of General Electric.
‰Andy Stanley, best-selling leadership author and communicator.
‰Sanya Richards-Ross, 2012 London Olympic gold medalist in track and field.
‰Dr. Henry Cloud, best-selling author and leadership consultant.
‰Lt. Commander Rorke Denver, Navy Seal and star of the 2012 movie “Act of Valor.”
‰David Allen, best-selling author of “Getting Things Done” and a productivity expert.
Cost for the session is $69; lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A, which is the main sponsor of the program. Money made after expenses will go toward scholarships for the WinShape Camp, another Chick-fil-A-sponsored project.
“I think it’s a great way to bring leaders across the Tri-State area together,” Fraley said.
The best way to register is through the church website at bridgeschristianchurch.org, according to Fraley. There will be a Leadercast logo on the site.
The simulcast will be shown on a large screen in the church auditorium.
