Boyd FFA to have test drive fundraiser

ASHLAND — The Boyd County FFA Chapter will have a test-drive fundraiser at Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Ashland from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday to raise money for the National FFA Organization in support of local FFA chapter leadership programs.

The event is part of a national day of test-drive fund-raising events hosted at participating dealerships across the country in celebration of the future of agriculture.

FFA members, alumni, friends and the general public are invited to go to the dealership at 1041 Greenup Ave. and take a test drive in a new Ram truck. For each test drive completed during the fundraiser, the Ram Truck brand will donate $20 to FFA, up to $2,000. Superior Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Ashland will have a full line of Ram trucks available for participants to experience and drive. Volunteers from the dealership and the chapter will be on hand to assist during the event. Anyone age 18 or older, with a valid driver’s license, may drive and earn a donation.

“This is a great opportunity for our friends and family to lend their support without having to reach into their own pockets. One hundred percent of the Ram Truck donation goes directly to FFA leadership programs,” said FFA adviser Julie Criss.

All test-drive participants will also be entered in the 2014 Chrysler Group National Giveaway for a chance to win $45,000 toward any eligible Chrysler Group vehicle.
