ASHLAND — 1 injured in Greenup wreck


One person was flown to the hospital after an accident in Greenup County early Sunday morning, according to 911 dispatchers.

The one-vehicle accident happened about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ky. 207 and Industrial Parkway, dispatchers said.

The driver was ejected from the car and flown to St. Mary’s Hospital.

The road was closed for a couple of hours, but has since reopened.


Teen hunter in Fleming missing


Search and rescue teams spent much of the weekend looking for a missing 15-year-old hunter in Fleming County.

Kentucky State Police were contacted about 8 p.m. Saturday after the boy failed to return home from a hunting trip in the Tilton area of Fleming County. The teenager was last seen late Saturday afternoon.

The search for the boy, whose name has not been released, continues, state police said Sunday afternoon.

At least five police, fire and search and rescue departments were looking for the boy Sunday afternoon. Those assisting include the state police, Tilton Fire Department, Fleming County Fire Department, Rowan County Search and Rescue and Buffalo Trace Search and Rescue.
