GREENUP — An Ashland man was charged with complicity to commit murder Wednesday in the death of a Westwood man, according to the Kentucky State Police in Ashland.

Aaron W. Gallion, 35, was previously charged with tampering with physical evidence in the death of Christopher Frazier, 29, of Westwood. Information obtained during the investigation led to the additional charge, the KSP said.

Preliminary results of an autopsy performed on Monday at the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort indicated Frazier died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to Greenup County Coroner Neil Wright said Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, the man accused of murdering Frazier was brought back to Kentucky to face charges in his slaying.

Carlton T. Gallman, 36, of Ashland, was transported from the Lawrence County Jail in Ironton to the Greenup County Detention Center on Tuesday, according to the KSP.

Gallman, who was arrested Friday evening near Coal Grove, waived extradition Monday following a hearing in Ironton Municipal Court. He is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in the death of Frazier, who was reported missing April 8. His body was discovered Friday over an embankment along Happy Ridge.

Both Gallman and Gallion are lodged in the GCDC.
