ASHLAND — The first day of the 25th annual Summer Motion was met with a little inclement weather but that didn't stop the party atmosphere on the riverfront Wednesday night.
Festival fans were greeted with a drizzle in the early part of the night but didn't let that dampen their spirits. Umbrellas were prevelant as local musicians Larry Whitt & Blue Eyed Soul played prior to 1980s band Loverboy.
The crowd on the riverfront came prepared for a little rain. The festival continues on Thursday with Michael Moore playing prior to Sawyer Brown and then the Tri-State's best fireworks display starting at 10:15. The riverfront concert series wraps up with The Chase and Styx on Friday night.
The festival moves to Central Park on Saturday and Sunday.
