ASHLAND — Nurse aide classes at Sarah’s Place

Sarah’s Place will be offering the Kentucky State Certified Nurse Aide classes beginning March 25 and ending May 24.

Register in person at Sarah’s Place March 18 through 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pre-requisites include: A strong desire to care for older adults, high school diploma or GED, reading level of at least seventh grade, clean record for felonies and elder abuse, negative TB skin test.

This is a “blended” program and is a combined, online program and a 1-on-1 supervised lab skills program. The online portion is accessible 24/7 on any computer that has an Internet connection. The advantage is that a student can study any time and any place.

The fee of $650 includes books and materials, state testing fee, tuition, lab, online fee, administrative fees and is payable in full by March 25, 2013. Class is limited to a minimum of six, maximum of 15 students.

Career fair at MSU March 5

MOREHEAD

Morehead State University’s Spring Career Fair will be March 5 in the Crager Room on the third floor of the Adron Doran University Center (ADUC) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graduate programs and employers from a variety of fields will be in attendance, including both the private and public sectors.
