TSHD Architects will host a new art exhibition, “The Tri-State Arts Association Summer Exhibition,” at The 1414 Gallery at TSHD architects with the opening from 5 to 8 p.m. today during First Friday Art walk.
The show will feature artworks from approximately 40 area artists. Special music for the evening’s event will be performed by Eddie Riffe.
First established in 1953 as an artists’ group in connection with the Huntington Art Galleries, The Tri-State Arts Association is one of the Tri-State’s area’s longest-running arts organizations.
Since its beginning, the group has represented artists throughout the Tri-State, with goals of encouraging and promoting interest in and understanding of all schools of art; creating and developing a closer relationship between art and the community; disseminating information; furthering the art education of its members and others; securing and presenting prominent artists or other authorities on art for lectures, demonstrations, workshops, etc.; and assisting artists in finding markets for their work.
The 1414 Gallery is at 1414 Winchester Ave. Several of the TSAA artists, as well as architects and staff of TSHD architects, will attend to speak with guests.
