Scary stories wanted

ASHLAND — Each year, the Lifestyles section features Scary Stories and we ask readers to email, mail or fax to us their favorite ghost story, campfire story, personal horror story — whatever they find frightening and would like to share.

Have you seen a ghost? Did something weird happen at your house? Do you have a favorite urban legend or story told around the campfire and meant to make sleep difficult?

Stories that fall into any of those categories will be accepted for Scary Stories.

Everyone who submits a story to Scary Stories will be entered in a drawing for a Halloween-themed gift bag, providing the reader/writer follows the rules, which are simple:

‰Limit your story to 500 words or fewer.

‰Include your name, your hometown and your phone number.

‰No foul language or sexual situations.

Deadline to submit a story is Oct. 22.

Scary Stories will be published in the Oct. 28 edition in the Lifestyles section. The winner of the gift bag will be announced at that time.
