Numerous thefts from vehicles reported to APD

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰Four residents of the 3100 block of Morgan Avenue on Tuesday reported having items stolen from their vehicles overnight.

Stolen items included cellphone chargers, a GPS unit, several computer cables, $26 cash, a checkbook and a wallet.

‰A man on Tuesday reported someone stole his wallet from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 800 block of Highland Avenue.

‰A woman living in the 700 block of Highland Avenue on Tuesday reported her wallet, which had $50 cash and several debit and credit cards in it, was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

‰A man on Monday reported a hand-held computer, a GPS unit and an angle grinder were stolen from his work vehicle while it was parked in the 3000 block of Cenral Avenue.

‰ A man on Tuesday reported a satellite radio receiver was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 2900 block of Madge Street.

‰A resident of the 300 bock of 31st Street on Tuesday reported the battery had been stolen from his car.

‰ A woman living in the 3400 block of Reeves Boulevard on Tuesday reported the theft of an electric scooter from her front porch.

‰A woman on Saturday reported she accidentally left her purse in a shopping cart at Walmart and it was gone when she went to retrieve it.

Shoplifting

‰A 22-year-old Argillite woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing merchandise from Spencer’s in the Ashland Town Center valued at $3.99.

‰A 50-year-old Ashland woman was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to shoplift merchandise valued at $339.10. The woman also was charged with third-degree drug possession, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
