CSX worker reports copper theft to APD

ASHLAND —  The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:


An employee of CSX Transportation on Monday reported 300 feet of copper wire and ground cable, valued at $2,500, were stolen from his company vehicle while it was parked in the 1400 block of Winchester Avenue.

A woman on Monday reported a safe containing $5,000 cash was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1800 block of Winchester.

A man living in the 4100 block of Brown Street on Monday reported the theft of a generator, valued at $300, from his front porch.

Tri-State Ophthalmology, 613 23rd St., last week reported an employee had been unlawfully writing checks to herself and depositing them into her personal account.


A resident of the 2100 block of 29th Street last week reported an Xbox 360 game console and 15 games, all valued at $1,050, were stolen in a burglary at his home.
