Woman arrested on drug, endangerment, fleeing charges

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Endangerment, drugs

‰Police on Saturday arrested Ashley R. Hutchinson, 29, of the 300 block of Spring Street, on warrants charging her with of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or evading police and two counts of theft.

During a search incident to the arrest, Hutchinson was found to be in possession of three pills believed to be hydrocodone, which resulted in an additional charge of second-degree drug possession, police said.

Hutchinson was arrested at Walmart and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center, where she remained on Monday.

Burglary

‰A resident of the 3000 block of Boy Scout Road on Sunday told police someone had entered her home and removed three bracelets, with a total value of $9,410, from her jewelry box.

‰A woman living in the 2700 block of 13th Street on Saturday reported someone broke into her residence and stole a laptop computer, wireless router and various jewelry, all valued at $1,800.

Theft

‰A man on Friday reported the license plate was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the 2600 block of Newman Street.

‰A resident of the 3700 block of Leighwood Drive on Saturday reported the theft of a 12-gauge shotgun valued at $357 from his vehicle.

Criminal mischief

‰A woman on Saturday reported someone smashed the rear window of her Chrysler Town & Country minivan while it was parked at Gla-Lo Apartments. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Shoplifting, drugs

‰A 30-year-old Ashland woman was arrested Friday at Ashland Town Center on charges of theft, misdemeanor assault and second-degree drug possession. The charges stemmed from an incident where the woman allegedly tried to steal merchandise valued at $74.95 from Buckle.

Shoplifting

‰Rite Aid, 933 Blackburn Ave., on Thursday reported the theft of merchandise valued at $499.98.
