6 cars struck in DUI accident

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

DUI accident

‰The APD investigated an incident Tuesday evening in the 1300 block of Winchester Avenue in which six vehicles were struck by an intoxicated driver.

Patrick C. Hatmaker, 23, of Ashland, was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence, the APD said. He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.

Hatmaker pleaded guilty Wednesday in Boyd District Court and was sentenced to four days in jail, according to the BCDC’s website.

There was no mention of anyone being hurt in the incident.

Theft

‰A woman living in the 2000 block of Pollard Road on Monday reported the theft of a white gold and diamond wedding band from her residence.

‰A woman living in the 2700 block of Monroe Street on Friday reported the theft of a Nintendo Wii gaming console from her home.

‰A woman living in the Skyline Drive area on Monday reported the theft of a diamond wedding band.

Shoplifting

‰A 36-year-old Belle, W.Va., man was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $104.97.

‰Carter Avenue Beverage Center, 2441 Carter Ave., on Tuesday reported the theft of a bottle of Northern Lights whiskey.
