ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:


‰A woman on Thursday reported she had been raped at her residence in the 2200 block of Winchester Avenue.

The incident occurred about 11 a.m. The woman told police a man whom she knew by only his first name had forced her to have sex with him against her will.


‰ First & Last Cigarettes, 332 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., on Saturday reported someone had broken out a glass door in an apparent attempt to gain entry to the business.


‰ A man living in the 2600 block of Moore Street on Tuesday reported the theft of $80 cash from his apartment.

Shoplifting, drugs

‰ A 53-year-old Ashland woman was arrested Monday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $69.89. The woman also was charged with second-degree drug possession and illegal possession of a legend drug.


‰ A man on Monday reported someone assaulted him with an unknown type of instrument. The incident was at 11:10 p.m. in the 3200 block of Winchester Avenue. The victim suffered serious physical injury, the APD said.
