Meth lab found in the 2700 block of Winchester Avenue

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Drugs

Police on Saturday afternoon responded to a report of a suspicious activity at a location in the 2700 block of Winchester Avenue and located a portable methamphetamine lab there. No arrests were made.

Burglary

A man living in the 2100 block of Dixon Street on Saturday reported someone had entered his residence and removed his Yamaha 340 guitar, valued at $2,000.

A resident of the 300 block of Ferry Street on Saturday reported another man unlawfully entered his residence, kicked in a door and started a fight over money allegedly owed to him.

A man living in the 3000 block of Terrace Boulevard on Friday reported someone entered a building on his property and stole a chainsaw valued at $1,200.

A woman living in the 2700 block of Roberts Drive last week reported someone entered her residence and stole a 32-inch TV she was renting.

A resident of the 3000 block of Prichard Street on Friday reported a man had entered his residence unlawfully.

Assault, vandalism

A woman living in the 1300 block of Beech Street on Saturday reported a male relative entered her residence about 2:50 a.m., struck her in the face with his fist, bloodying her lip, and then kicked and broke her TV as he was leaving.

Shoplifting

Crystal Blevins, 43, of Argillite, was charged with felony theft Saturday after she allegedly attempted to steal merchandise valued at $866.94 from Walmart.

Under Kentucky law, thefts of $500 are more are classified as felonies.

A 24-year-old Ironton woman was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $197.90.

A South Point woman, 29, was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to shoplift items valued at $122.91.

A 31-year-old Olive Hill man was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $227.04.

A 34-year-old South Point woman was arrested Friday at Walmart for allegedly trying to shoplift items valued at $37.88.

A Chesapeake man, 34, was arrested Sunday at Walmart for allegedly attempting to shoplift merchandise valued at $36.16.
