ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft, drugs

‰Police last week arrested a Westwood woman on theft and drug charges after she allegedly tried to steal a bicycle while intoxicated.

Gina M. Rice, 35, was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center, charged with felony drug possession, misdemeanor theft and failure to notify the Department of Transportation of an address change.

The incident occurred just after midnight on Wednesday at a home on Hinton Street. According to the APD, Rice was detained while attempting to steal the bike, valued at $120, and neighbors called police. A search revealed Rice was in possession of Methadone, for which she didn’t have a prescription.

Auto theft

‰Don Hall Chevrolet on Friday reported the theft of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup valued at $12,990.

Theft

‰A woman last week reported her wallet was stolen after she accidentally left it in a shopping cart at the Blackburn Avenue Family Dollar.

‰A man living in the 2600 block of Forest Avenue last week reported a clay crock valued at $200 was stolen from his front porch.

‰Prichard Lawn Care, 1305 Boy Scout Road, on Friday reported a man purchased two lawn mowers, worth a combined $954, with two checks that were written on a closed account.

‰A woman living in the 2600 block of Algonquin Avenue on Friday reported several parcels delivered to her home had been stolen from her front porch.

‰A resident of the 300 block of 32nd Street on Saturday reported the theft of a gas-powered weed trimmer from the trunk of one of his vehicles.

‰A man on Monday reported the theft of his BMX bicycle from the bike rack at the rear of Ashland Town Center.
