ASHLAND — Man killed in 2-vehicle collision

LLOYD

One man is dead after a two-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon at the intersection of the Grant Bridge off U.S. 23.

Benjamin R. Johnston, 27, was pronounced dead at 2:05 p.m. after being transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. The accident happened at 1:44 p.m., according to a Kentucky State Police report.

Johnston, of Portsmouth was driving a 2012 Jonway Moped and traveling south on U.S. 23 and attempting to turn left onto the bridge.

Miller and a juvenile passenger were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision and received no injuries.
