Ashland man arrested on heroin charges

ASHLAND — An Ashland man was arrested Monday night on charges of trafficking in heroin, according to a release from the Ashland Police Department.

Mtthew Farris, 29, was arrested after the APD executed a search warrant at his  home in the 3400 block of Reeves Boulevard. He is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police seized heroin, drug paraphernalia and more than $700 in cash. Additional arrests are pending.

Farris is lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
