Police beat: 5/6/13

ASHLAND — The following was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Auto theft

‰Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 2101 Winchester Ave., on Thursday reported a 2013 Nissan Titan it rented to a man on March 25 had not been returned. The truck was valued at $25,925.

Fugitive arrest

‰Police on Thursday arrested Jerod A. Sumney, 32, of Raceland, at a location on Fleming Court on a fugitive-from-justice warrant. Sumney incurred additional charges by allegedly being in possession of Suboxone, marijuana and rolling papers. He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.

Shoplifting

‰Walmart on Thursday reported a man and a woman had stolen a 32-inch LED TV valued at $288.

Criminal mischief

‰A man on Thursday reported someone scratched his vehicle with a sharp object while it was parked in the 1100 block of Maple Avenue.
