Two arrested on drug charges

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Drugs

‰ APD officers on Monday served a search warrant on a residence in the 3000 Block of Central Avenue after receiving information of drug activity taking place there.

Officers located crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm. Arrested were Charlton Greene, 48, and Phillip Haney, 46, both of Ashland. Both were lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center, where they remained on Wednesday.

Criminal mischief

‰A woman on Monday reported someone threw a large rock through her vehicle’s rear window while it was parked in the 2500 block of Kirk Street.

‰A resident of the 2500 block of Crawford Street on Monday reported someone had vandalized a rear door of his residence with paint.

‰The owner of a building in the 3500 block of 13th Street on Tuesday reported someone had damaged one of the structure’s wooden doors by unknown means.

‰A woman on Wednesday reported someone damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the 1100 block of Second Circle Prospect by pouring sugar in the gas tank.

Shoplifting

‰A 39-year-old Hinton, W.Va., man was arrested Monday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $38.55.

‰A 22-year-old woman whose address was listed as unknown was arrested Monday at Walmart for allegedly trying to take merchandise valued at $142.82.
