ASHLAND — Southland Bible training continues

ASHLAND - Southland Bible Institute’s training for high school students continues through Friday at the school at 238 W. Southland Drive.

‘Ham’ operators set event in park

ASHLAND - The River Cities Amateur Radio Association will have its annual Field Day on Saturday and Sunday in Central Park. Members will demonstrate “ham” techniques and greet and inform visitors in the middle of the park.

July 2 meeting canceled in Boyd

CATLETTSBURG - The Boyd County Fiscal Court has canceled its July 2 meeting. It will next meet at 10 a.m. July 16.

    Members of the county’s new advisory committee regarding Big Run Landfill enforcement are encouraged to attend the group’s first meeting next week.
    Committee facilitator Mike Clevenger of Cannonsburg said the panel will meet the first Monday of each month, starting next week. For now, all meetings will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Boyd County Community Center.
