APD: Traffic stop nets 2 drug arrests

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Drugs

‰Police on Monday night arrested two men on drug charges following a traffic stop on Armco Road.

William J. McFann, 42, of Stratton Drive, was charged with first-degree drug trafficking (heroin), first-degree drug possession and also with promoting contraband after additional heroin was allegedly found on him while he was being booked into the Boyd County Detention Center. Dustin L. Mullins, 32 of Ashland, was charged with drug possession.

Both suspects were lodged in the BCDC. Officers recovered heroin, pills and approximately $1,200 cash.

Burglary

‰A resident of the 200 block of 16th Street last week reported someone broke into his apartment and stole a PlayStation 3 gaming console and several games, a Samsung Galaxy phone, a backpack and two knives. Several of the items were recovered and returned to the victim; several others were located at a local pawn shop and placed on hold there until they could be returned.

Theft

‰Goodwill, 2100 Winchester Ave., on Monday reported the theft of $300 cash.

‰A woman on Thursday reported her wallet was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 4100 block of Mound Street.

Criminal mischief

‰A woman on Thursday reported someone threw a brick through the driver’s side window of her 2009 Ford Focus while it was parked in the 2800 block of Lexington Avenue.

Shoplifting

‰A 26-year-old Dunbar, W.Va., woman was arrested Thursday at Walmart for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $178.
