Burglaries, alleged prostitution reported to APD

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Burglary

‰A resident of the 3400 block of Shadowlawn Drive on Thursday reported someone entered his residence and removed $250 cash.

‰A man living in the 1600 block of Lexington Avenue on Tuesday reported someone had broken out a window in an apparent attempt to gain entry.

Prostitution

‰Police investigated a prostitution complaint at the Winchester Inn last week and arrested the 25-year-old woman who had allegedly agreed to perform a sex act with a man for money, but on an unrelated warrant for theft. She remained in custody on Tuesday.

Threatening

‰A 33-year-old Ironton man arrested early Tuesday for alcohol intoxication incurred additional charges following his arrest. The man allegedly refused to comply with officer commands and made threatening remarks to the arresting officer. He was charged with third-degree terroristic threatening and resisting arrest.

Shoplifting

‰A 54-year-old Russell woman was arrested Monday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $58.12.
