Woman wanted in Greenup arrested

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Fugitive arrest

‰Police on Tuesday arrested a woman wanted in Greenup County on drug and child-endangerment charges.

Christina L. Watkins, 27, of Russell, was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on indictment warrants charging her with three counts of first-degree drug trafficking and two count of first-degree wanton endangerment.

The latter charges stem from Watkins allegedly having a child present during drug transactions, according to court records.

Watkins was indicted last month by a Greenup County grand jury. She remained in the BCDC on Wednesday.

Theft

‰Maurice’s in the Ashland Town Center on Saturday reported an individual had deprived the business of $1,488.90 cash by making fraudulent returns.

Burglary

‰A woman living in the 2200 block of Woodland Avenue on Tuesday reported someone had broken into her apartment and stolen household goods and identification documents with a total value of $665.

Shoplifting

‰An 18-year-old Wheelersburg man was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $18.92.
