Lewis County authorities arrested a man and woman on drug-trafficking charges after serving a search warrant at a residence in the Meadowbrook area on Thursday.
Jackie Blevins, 41, and Autumn Hackworth, 27, both of Vanceburg, were lodged in the Lewis County Detention Center. Blevins was charged with two counts of first-degree drug trafficking; Hackworth with one count of first-degree trafficking.
Sheriff Johnny Bivens, said his department had received numerous complaints of possible illegal drug activity at the residence on Vice Street in recent months, and deputies were able to gather enough evidence to obtain a search warrant.
The search resulted in the seizure of prescription drugs, approximately $1,400 cash, drug paraphernalia, transaction ledgers and cell phones with contact information, Bivens said.
Blevins and Hackworth both remained in custody Friday, according to the jail’s website.
