Woman reports items stolen while she was hospitalized

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰A woman living in the 600 block of May Court last week reported numerous items, including a washer and dryer, 25-inch TV, dresser, jewelry box and power mobility chair, were stolen from her residence while she was hospitalized.

‰A representative of RJ Reynolds on Wednesday reported a laptop computer belonging to his employer was stolen from his work vehicle while it was parked at Applebee’s.

Burglary

‰A man living in the 800 block of 16th Street last week reported someone had forced open the front door of his house. Nothing was listed as having been stolen.

Assault

‰A 36-year-old man was arrested Sunday on a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly striking a woman in the face with his first during a domestic altercation in the 3900 block of Queen Street.

Shoplifting

‰A 29-year-old Flatwoods man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $399 from JC Penney.
