APD: Man and woman arrested following fracas

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashand Police Department reports:


‰A man and woman were arrested on misdemeanor assault charges last week following a fight in the 1200 block of York Street.

According to the APD, the two caused physical injury to one another when they were fighting in their vehicle and yard. The incident occurred just before midnight on Tuesday.

The man, 45, was arrested at the scene. The woman was arrested at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Both were charged with fourth-degree assault.

The Independent generally does not publish the names of suspects charged only with misdemeanors.


‰A woman last week reported the license plate was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 2400 block of Holt Street.

‰A man on Thursday reported someone stole a GPS unit valued at $275 from his vehicle while it was parked in the 2200 block of Winchester Avenue.


‰A 61-year-old Ashland woman was arrested last week for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $459.96 from two Ashland Town Center stores.

‰A 33-year-old Grayson woman was arrested Friday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $59.99 from Rack Room Shoes in the Ashland Town Center.

‰A juvenile was arrested Friday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $74.10 from Walmart.
