Man reports illegal sale of items

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰A man living in the 2200 block of Griffith Street on Sunday reported a woman was storing about $15,000 worth of household goods not belonging to her at her residence and was selling them off on Craigslist.

‰A man on Friday reported his former tenant had stolen two window-unit air conditioners and interior window coverings, all valued at $500, from his rental home in the 3400 block of Willis Avenue prior to moving out.

‰A resident of the 2200 block of Crest Street on Sunday reported the theft of two handguns, valued at $500, from his residence.

Burglary

‰A woman living in the 900 block of Ashland Avenue on Friday reported a 42-inch flat-screen TV and a 7-inch electronic tablet had been stolen in a burglary at her residence. The items had a combined value of $600.

Shoplifting

‰A 26-year-old Ashland woman was arrested Friday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $219.51.

‰Shamrock Liquors, 1117 13th St., on Tuesday reported the theft of merchandise valued at $25.59.

‰A 35-year-old Ironton man was arrested Saturday at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $36.76. The suspect also was charged with possession of marijuana and second- and third-degree drug possession after being searched by police following his arrest.
