Art in the Park will be Sept. 28 in Ashland

ASHLAND — The Kentucky Creative Arts Club will have its 53rd annual Art in the Park on Sept. 28 in Central Park in Ashland.

Rain location is the Kyova Mall in Cannonsburg.

Categories include: oil/acrylic (thick application), watercolor/acrylic (applied as watercolor, under glass), pastel, graphics and mixed media, portraits/all media and 3-D sculpture.

Registration will be from 9 to 11 a.m. with judging to begin at noon.   Entry fee is $15 for up to 10 pieces and  $5 for each additional piece. 

The competition is open to all artists 18 and older.  All entries must be the original work of the artist and must not have won awards in this show previously.  Work also must be suitable for family viewing: no nudes. 

All 2-D art must be matted, framed and ready to hang and artists must provide easels for their work.
