Sex offender charged for failing to register

Ashland — Police in Ashland have charged a local man for failing to comply with sex offender registration laws.

Jeff L. Leadingham, whose address is listed in the 200 block of 20th Street, was charged Wednesday for first offense failure to comply with sex offender registration, a felony. He was also charged with failing to comply with other restrictions regarding where sex offenders may reside.

The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰A man living in the 200 block of Jane Hill Road reported on Monday that $404 in power tools were stolen from a location on East Street last week.

‰A Grayson woman was arrested Monday for attempting to steal $328.57 in merchandise from Walmart.

‰An employee at the Ken’s Express Mart, 954 29th Street, reported the theft of $6.99 in consumable goods on Saturday.

‰The store manager of the Super China Buffet reported the theft of $43.90 in consumable goods on Sunday.

‰A Lexington man reported Friday that $450 in items listed as other and $200 in cash was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in a King’s Daughters Medical Center parking lot.

‰An Ashland woman living in the 1700 block of Clements Drive reported her automobile valued at $760 was stolen on Friday.

‰An Ashland woman living in the 200 block of Carl Perkins Drive reported $20 in cash was stolen from her home on Friday.

Burglary

‰An Ashland man living in the 800 block of 17th Street reported Sunday that electronics valued at $700 were stolen from his home.

‰An Ashland man living in the 3400 block of Carter Avenue reported firearms valued at $150 were stolen from his home during a burglary Saturday.

‰An Ashland man living in the 2200 block of Central Avenue reported his home had been burglarized on Friday and $100 in jewelry was stolen.

Criminal Mischief

‰A man living in the 100 block of Blackburn Avenue reported $250 in damage to his automobile on Saturday.

‰A man living in the 1600 block of Beech Street reported Friday that $150 in damage was done to his automobile.

Assault

‰An emergency room staff member at King’s Daughters Medical Center reported Friday a man living in the 2300 block of Winchester Avenue was assaulted by a male acquaintance living in the 400 block of 31st Street. Minor injuries were reported.

Drug Arrests

‰An Ashland man living in the 2100 block of Carter Avenue was arrested for possession of marijuana on Friday. Police seized $10 in drugs from the man.
