The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Theft
‰A man living in the 3000 block of 29th Street reported on Friday two small concrete ducks were taken from his front yard after midnight. He also reported flower pots on his porch had been overturned and a bench in his garden broken.
‰An Ashland man living in the 800 block of 17th Street was arrested on Friday for theft, menacing and public intoxication after an employee of City National Bank called police to the branch at 344 17th St. No other details were available.
‰An Ashland woman was arrested on Friday for allegedly trying to steal $123.80 from Wal-Mart.
‰An Ashland man and woman were arrested Saturday for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $598 from Wal-Mart.
Jamie L. Pack and Chester D. Napier, both of the 2200 block of Winchester Avenue, were charged with felony theft.
‰A vehicle valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from the Kroger parking lot by a South Point man on Saturday.
‰A Grand Island, Neb., man reported on Sunday $3,300 in tools were stolen from his vehicle while parked in the 4700 block of Winchester Avenue.
‰An Ashland woman living in the 200 block of Sturgill Avenue reported $125 worth of jewelry was stolen from her home on Sunday.
‰A Flatwoods woman was arrested on Monday for allegedly attempting to steal $81.04 in merchandise from Belk’s. The woman is also accused of stealing $85.36 in merchandise from the store last week. Police also charged her with having a driver’s license in her possession when her driving privileges had been revoked.
‰An Ashland woman living in the 2100 block of 29th Street reported $250 was stolen through cold checks.
‰A Greenup man and woman were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to steal $24.72 in merchandise from Wal-Mart.
‰Two Greenup men were arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing $138.95 in merchandise from Wal-Mart. One of the men was also charged with being in contempt of court and one of the men was a fugitive.
Criminal mischief
‰An Ashland man living in the 2000 block of Misty Lane reported his car was damaged on Friday while parked in the 5300 block of Winchester Avenue. Damages were estimated at $580.
Burglary
‰A woman living in the 2700 block of Crawford Street reported on Saturday her home had been burglarized and television sets, radios and VCRs valued at $2,039.46 had been stolen.
‰A man living in the 2000 block of Sixth Street reported a computer and hardware and software valued at $710.42 had been stolen from his home on Friday.
‰Firearms valued at $1,800 and $50 worth of prescription drugs were stolen in a burglary at a home in the 2900 block of 29th Street. A man living in the home reported the theft on Saturday.
‰The owner of Samons Construction reported the theft of $1,500 in tools from a building in the 1700 block of Greenup Avenue on Monday.
Robbery
‰An Ashland woman living in the 3300 block of Central Avenue reported on Saturday she was robbed at the corner of Belmont Street and Simpson Road on Sunday. She reported $60 in cash was stolen.
