Marathon Petroleum reports thefts

The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Theft
‰Marathon Petroleum, 1041 Greenup Ave., reported Thursday the theft of tools, vehicle parts and heavy equipment, all valued at $5,600.
‰A woman living in the 3200 block of Newman Street reported Thursday the theft of a bicycle valued at $150.
‰A man living in the 3100 block of Mason Street reported the theft of an unspecified item valued at $900 on Wednesday.
Auto theft
‰A Catlettsburg man reported his car, valued at $1,295, was stolen from a location on Harrison Street on Thursday.
‰A Portsmouth woman reported her car, valued at $600, was stolen from Mansbach Metal, 1900 Front St. on Wednesday.
Shoplifting
‰An Ironton man and a Scottown woman were arrested Thursday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $14.96.
‰A New Boston woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $68.61 from Wal-Mart.
‰An Ashland man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly attempting to steal an item valued at $14,74 from Wal-Mart.
‰A Bidwell, Ohio, woman was arrested Wednesday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $29.31.
