Dinner at Tiffany’s is OLBH’s fifth annual, elegant, black-tie cocktail, dinner and dance party at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Ashland-Boyd County Regional Airport in Worthington.
The Community Service Award for 2008 will be bestowed upon Berry. She has served as president of the hospital’s auxiliary and as a member of the OLBH Foundation board.
Additionally, Berry has lent her time and talents to such diverse organizations/causes as Meals on Wheels, Community Kitchen, the Kentucky Highlands Museum, Ashland Oil Wives, Garden Club, Festival of Trees and the Huntington Museum of Art. Berry is a Kentucky Colonel and a fellow of the University of Kentucky.
The fifth annual Physician Hero Award will be presented to longtime OLBH family practitioner Larry Fields, M.D. Fields has played a significant role in the hospital’s history and has demonstrated the ability to go above and beyond the call of duty to serve those in need. Dinner, dancing, live entertainment, a silent auction and door prizes are all planned for Dinner at Tiffany’s. Proceeds from the event will support community needs including health initiatives.
Through its Healthy Community Services program, OLBH will utilize Dinner at Tiffany’s proceeds to establish, build and expand relationships with community organizations, service providers, government agencies, faith communities and businesses all in an effort to address and strengthen the healthcare and other safety nets of the region.
