A new, more visible location will be used for this year’s Fourth of July Fireworks Show, according to Terri Alderman, executive director of the Morehead Tourism Commission, lead sponsor of the annual celebration.
Starting at dusk on Friday, many of the aerial fireworks will originate at B&B Equipment Rental on Ky. 32 on the hilltop overlooking the Dairy Queen, Huddle House and Zane Collins Community Park. The larger pyrotechnics will be fired from the nearby Abner Construction Co. property.
Spectators are welcome to park at Dairy Queen, Huddle House and the park, as well as the nearby Wal-Mart Supercenter and at Rowan County Senior High School, McBrayer Elementary School and the Rowan Campus of Maysville Community and Technical College.
