OLBH bike safety camp changes to Thursday
RUSSELL - Because of inclement weather, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital’s Bicycle Safety Camp originally scheduled for Tuesday will utilize its rain date of Thursday.
OLBH, in conjunction with Community Presbyterian Church of Bellefonte and OLBH’s Community HealthWatch Partnership, will host the 10th annual OLBH Bicycle Safety Camp at the church, 605 Bellefonte Princess Road, Bellefonte, from 6 to 8 p.m., with registration and minor bike repair beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The free camp for children ages 5 to 12 teaches participants balance skills, bicycle handling, how to check bike operation, safety prior to riding and how to look for and dodge accident-causing situations. Door prizes will be awarded and refreshments provided. Prizes include new bikes.
Each participant is asked to bring a bike and safety equipment. The church’s nursery will be open during the camp with parental supervision required.
Those who previously registered for the camp are already registered for Thrusday and do not need to register again.
Space is still available for new participants by calling the OLBH CareLine to preregister at (606) 833-2273. Preregistration is recommended.
