The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Burglary
‰A woman living in the 4800 block of Sherwood Drive reported on Thursday tools, electronics, firearms and other items were stolen in a burglary at her residence. The items had a total value of $2,467, according to records.
‰A woman living in the 3400 block of Reeves Boulevard reported on Wednesday someone broke into her home and stole computer equipment valued at $770.
Theft
‰A Boyd County woman reported on Thursday her purse was stolen in the 700 block of 26th Street.
‰A woman living in the 2300 block of Boone Street reported on Thursday her car, valued at $5,000, had been stolen.
‰A resident of the 2900 block of Bath Avenue on Thursday reported the theft of $354 cash.
‰A man living in the 4000 block of Southview Road on Wednesday reported the theft of tools valued at $235.
‰An Ashland woman reported on Tuesday her purse was stolen at the Ashland Elks Club, 900 Carter Ave.
‰A woman living in the 3200 block of Christy Street on Tuesday reported the theft of vehicle parts valued at $1,500.
Shoplifting
‰An Ohio man was arrested on a felony theft charge on Thursday after he caught allegedly trying steal merchandise valued at $338.26 from Wal-Mart.
Douglas L. Hunt of Franklin Furnace was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on one count of theft by unlawful taking over $300.
‰A New Boston man was arrested on Thursday at Wal-Mart for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $19.40.
‰An Ashland man was arrested on Wednesday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $64.59.
Prescription fraud
‰CVS, 1221 Lexington Ave., reported on Wednesday someone had tried to pass a bogus prescription there.
Domestic violence
‰Police responded to a domestic disturbance on Wednesday night in the 2700 block of Carter Avenue and arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
