The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Purse-snatching
‰An Ashland woman reported she was a victim of a purse-snatching on Saturday.
The victim told police the theft occurred at a location on 29th Street. She also reported the purse and its contents were worth about $51.
No other details were immediately available.
Rape
‰An Ashland woman reported Sunday she had been raped at a location on 34th Street. The woman knew her alleged attacker, according to records.
Burglary
‰A man living in the 700 block of 14th Street reported Saturday $8 cash was stolen in a burglary at his residence.
‰A resident of the 3400 block of Central Avenue reported Saturday someone had broken into his house and stolen an animal valued at $50.
Theft
‰A woman living in the 800 block of 16th Street on Monday reported the theft of tools, checks and other items, all valued at $1,170.
‰An Ashland woman reported Saturday her purse was stolen at King’s Daughters Medical Center. The purse and its contents were valued at $342.
‰An Ashland woman reported Friday recordings, checks, electronics and other items, worth a combined $2,705, were stolen out of her car while it was parked at Hillcrest Apartments.
‰A woman living in the 2900 block of Frankie Street on Friday reported the theft of jewelry valued at $500.
‰A Greenup man reported Saturday unspecified items valued at $855 were stolen from him in the 300 block of Ferry Street.
‰A woman living in the 2900 block of Holt Street on Friday reported the theft of computer equipment valued at $500.
Shoplifting
‰A juvenile was arrested Monday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $79.36.
‰ CVS, 1212 Lexington Ave., on Sunday reported the theft of merchandise valued at $99.96.
