APD investigates hit and run
ASHLAND - The Ashland Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred at the intersection of 29th Street and Belmont Avenue on Thursday night.
A pedestrian was injured in the incident and was taken to King’s Daughter’s Medical Center for evaluation. No further details were available at press time.
5th annual Grahn School Reunion set for May 24
GRAHN - The fifth annual Grahn School Reunion will be May 24 at the Grahn School Community Center.
An open house will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A potluck meal will be served at noon with meat, beverages and utensils provided by the community center.
During the day items of memorabilia will be displayed.

Gospel songfest slated for 6 p.m. Saturday
ASHLAND - Williams Creek Community Church will have a gospel songfest and benefit Saturday.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and music begins at 6 p.m. Performing will be The Chadwicks Creek Boys, The LeMaster Family, Deerfield Family, His Singing Servants, Dave Crabtree and Eleanor Davis.
On the menu are hot dogs, beans and cornbread and desserts.
A love offering will be accepted.

ASHLAND - Parent election to the Fairview High School site-based decision making council will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 12 in the front office.

Old Fields Cemetery group to meet Tuesday
GREENUP - Old Fields Cemetery Committee will have their annual meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the cemetery in Greenup. The rain date for the meeting will be at 6 p.m. May 16.
On the agenda is election of officers. The meeting is open to those with family buried in the cemetery.
